    Autonomous driving has been a key trend amongst automotive manufacturers in 2015, and this trend looks set to continue in 2016 with the unveiling of the Nissan IDS Concept vehicle. Nissan's latest self-driving concept vehicles possesses the ability to switch between manual and self-driving modes via a steering wheel and display which blend into the dashboard. From this dashboard, the Nissan IDS will transmit messages such as 'stopping' to alert pedestrians and passengers to the car's awareness of its surroundings and to signal its intentions. Combine these factors with the fact that the Nissan IDS is a zero emission electronic vehicle and this concept vehicle could herald a new era of environmentally friendly and technologically advanced prestige vehicles.
